An evaluation based on the analytic hierarchy process and GGEbiplot on French fry potato genotypes in Yunnan, China

A total of 33 potato ( Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivars and breeding clones imported from the United States two local (Yunshu 401 Cooperation 88, CK) were planted evaluated. To determine their suitability for processing into French fries at five locations (e1-e5) in Yunnan Province, China, we developed a comprehensive evaluation system using analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Eleven indicators fry quality, yield, agronomic characteristics with relative importance (weight coefficients) 0.483, 0.301 0.216, respectively, used to analyze 35 genotypes (designated g1-g35).The ranked results revealed that (1) on average, showed lower performance compared cultivars. Compared CK, they classified as not vigorous (Mean 5.11 vs CK 7.75), matured earlier 5.79 1.70), had low resistance late blight 3735.59 1418.55), requiring use fungicides control disease trial locations. (2) The US cultivar ‘Defender’ (g3) top six all test because it higher yield (29.56 t h m -2 ), better quality (4.64), dry matter content (20.41%), tuber length/width ratio (1.99), longer tubers (13.57cm), stronger plant vigor (7.17) (AUDPC: 3134.2). (3) By GGEbiplot analysis, superior high stable yields g3 ‘Echo Russet’ (g33). ‘Yunshu 401’ (g34) ‘Yukon Gem’ (g4) but yields. ideal environments hence experimental Luquan (LQ, e2) Lijiang (LJ, e4) which resulted best discrimination between among Yunnan. Overall, based AHP analysis including 11 agricultural traits can be model promotion new cultivars, evaluating selecting location.
